Playlist: Watercolor Painting in a P-Row Suite

This playlist exemplifies the hazy, saturated scene of sitting in a P-Row common room on a fuzzy, colorful rug while sipping tea and watercolor painting. While this may be impossibly niche, the songs included on this mix offer this same vibe—highly saturated, colorful pop songs—some in the form of a warm ballad and others that are cool, suave dance hits. These pop songs feature artists both up-and-coming and familiar, some that challenge the norms of mainstream pop and some radio classics. 

Examples include hits from artists like Charli XCX that you can mindlessly bop your head to. Songs featured from Blondie and Paris Hilton follow this trajectory—just simple, easy, fun listening. Other tracks on this playlist have more of a melancholy undertone, like Britney Spears’s “Lucky” and rising star Chappell Roan’s “Casual”. While packaged like palatable pop tunes, their lyrics reveal feelings of forlorn and heart-torn. 

This mix can be listened to in order or shuffle, taking listeners on a sparkling synth ride. It’s a rollercoaster of love-struck or introspection, depending on where you start.
